Monty Doors & Avatar Galleries

Monty Doors are special kinds of portals. They get the name Monty after Monty Hall, a gameshow host famous for opening doors to reveal prizes. Monty Doors in Worlds serve a similar purpose: they hide a an object until it is ready to be displayed. Worlds used Monty Doors for two main purposes: displaying avatars and displaying merchandise. The latter is not very relevant anymore, but you still may want to use them in construction of your avatar gallery.

Making an Avatar Gallery

The first part of making an avatar gallery with Monty Doors is making a display room. This is a small room with a portal replacing on of the walls that the Monty Door uses to "look" into the room when it is displayed. You can look at the default Worlds avatar gallery world as an example and even copy the display room to use in your own world.
